Tears, Repairs, and More

We lengthened the sleeves on this bike jacket and put in a longer zipper.
Jacket redyed to a not-even color, retaining the "patina"
Sample of putting a leather band over the sleeve edge where it was worn and had holes. Then we dyed the whole jacket which blended the new piece in (it needed it anyway)
This vintage varsity jacket was sent to the cleaners and the old leather sleeves further dried and shrank. We replaced them with some very soft heavy cream colored cowhide. We also touched up the matching leather pocket pieces
Before and After!
Here you can see how we redyed and refinished this bike jacket with a conservative restoration so it doesn't look brand new.
Restoration for a soft lamb coat. Redyed and refinished to a like new condition
We did EVERYTHING to this jacket! The leather had a reddish cast and the fur collar had changed color over the years so we matched the new collar to the leather. We chose a quilted satin to reline the jacket. This is one of my favorite makeovers:-)
Large tear repaired and jacket redyed and restored
New cuffs, new lining, restored!
Before and after!
New lining (customer's fabric) and we replaced the broken sleeve zippers to match breast zipper
Letting out the hem to lengthen the sleeves
Banded the edge and added topstitching to the old edge to flatten it out and give a finished look.
We lengthened the sleeves as much as possible before needing to replace the zipper with a longer one.
We shortened these sleeves!
Removed the epaulets
New inner cuff
